Smart Board Review – 660i

The Smart 660i is the big brother in the Smart Tech 600i family of white boards. This third generation whiteboard has a 64″ touch screen, with a “Touch recognition” feature which allows you to swap between pens and fingers instantly. It’s about time Smart Boards have finally received this feature!

The board is usually paired with a Unifi UF45 or UF55, a short-throw projector (called “Super Close Technology” here) which doesn’t bring the usual problems like shadows being cast by the presenter as it’s positioned above the board, looking down onto it. The projector itself, uses closed projector technology that doesn’t require internal cleaning. The white board projector operates at a resolution of 1024×768.

The sound system is a 20-watt stereo system, which can easily be controlled from the control panel.

With the ability to easily connect computer, VCR, document camera, DVD player or other peripherals, and the award-winning Notebook software, you can be confident the Smart Tech white boards are a winning tool for your classroom.
