TurningPoint Voting Systems
The SMART Turning Point Voting System is a simple keypad response system which integrates with PowerPoint. Is this all it can do? Well, yes and no.
Consisting of 12 buttons on each voting device, the Turning Point units look unimpressive, and seriously restricts what questions can be asked. The buttons have dual labels, numbered from 1-10 and A to J, with and asterisk and question mark key.
The price for a bundle of the units – either 24 or 32 – are considerably cheaper than competitors, but you really are getting much less. No LCD screen for questions, or additional text for example.
Being able to use the units with PowerPoint and then seeing the responses on screen is fun for the class, and a novelty, but hardly useful for assessment.
This interactive voting system is disappointing, and we’d advise you to save your school / business some money by not using these.
